Missions & Outreach

And He said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.”

Operation Christmas Child

The Hopewell Baptist Church Fellowship Hall will be an Operation Christmas Child drop-off location during the National Collection Week, November 13th - 20th, 2023.

You can pick-up shoeboxes to fill, and drop off packed shoeboxes, during these dates. Hours each day will be posted in October.

World Changers

Hopewell supports missions, whether they be local or international. We have a firm belief that the world is broken, darkness is everywhere, and lost people are dead in their trespasses and sins. Christ calls His people to be salt and light while we are here on earth. In the sermon on the mount, Jesus says in Matthew 5:16 to “let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” For over 20 years one of the ways Hopewell has shined Christ’s light is through a week of service during the summer through an organization called World Changers.

Women’s Missionary Union

Women on Mission is a missions organization of WMU (Woman’s Missionary Union) that challenges Christian women to understand and be involved in the missions of God. Our Women on Mission group meets on the first Monday of each month at 10:30 am for mission studies and fellowship. We also actively support a variety of mission projects throughout the year.

-Women on Mission aim to…

-Pray for and give to Gospel centered missions

-Learn more about the active mission field and history of missional evangelism

-Develop spiritually towards a mission-minded lifestyle

-Participate in the work of the church.

Marshall & Amy Childers

We are Marshall, Amy, Ezra, Eliza and Esther Childers and we have served Jesus’ church in the West Midlands of England for over 8 years. Marshall’s family is related to every third person at Hopewell, which is our home church where we learned to serve together as a couple. In 2021 we, along with a leadership team of four national believers, planted a church in our town based around the values mentioned in Acts 2:42 "They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”  Throughout the week, we are meeting with people one-on-one, or in groups for discipleship, prayer, and mutual accountability. Over the course of a week, we meaningfully, and intentionally interact with about thirty-five people in three locations.  We have seen relationships take shape and solidify over the past year as we have shared meals together, enjoyed social outings and hosted outreach events. Many of our people need healing from past hurts and solid Biblical teaching. It is a privilege and joy to serve Christ’s church by helping others know and follow Him wholeheartedly. We invite you to be a part of serving here in England by praying for our people, giving to help keep us here, and perhaps coming to serve on a short-term team or internship.
